The Evidence hub: a weekly journal club, and every landmark trial in one place

7 August 2026

Know someone writing? Share it.

Reading a paper and knowing what to make of it are different skills. The second one — telling strong evidence from weak, and saying why — is what the new Evidence hub builds, one real paper at a time.

It lives right on your home screen: tap Evidence ✦ on the study card, in every course.

A journal club, every week

Each week there is one paper — a real, recent, relevant trial — and a guided appraisal that walks it one decision at a time: how patients were allocated, who was blinded, whether the outcome was the honest one, what the numbers actually support. You write your call at each step; the AI then gives you a step-by-step analysis of how well you appraised it — what you caught, what you missed, and the stronger reading.

The statistics are computed, never generated — every figure on the page comes from the trial's own data, with the working shown. And each week's concept links straight to the chapters where that statistics is taught, across all three courses.

Every club has a single shareable page — send it to your registrar group on WhatsApp. Anyone can read the paper, the abstract and the discussion; signed-in members can comment and see who else is in the room right now. Pro members do the appraisal itself, with AI feedback on every step, week after week.

Every landmark trial, in one tracker

The Trials tracker holds the evidence behind your chapters — kept deliberately as two separate worlds:

Established · 626 — the completed trials that define today's practice, grouped by chapter, each with what it changed.

The established landmark trials, grouped by chapter

Ongoing · 135 — trials still running, sorted by how soon they read out. Follow the ones that matter to your practice and the hub keeps them pinned, soonest first — the readouts are where practice changes next.

Watch your skill build

Every week's appraisal covers the same nine dimensions of critical reading — allocation, blinding, outcomes, power, subgroups, confounding, and the rest. Because the yardstick never changes while the paper always does, the My skill tab shows something honest: your ability rising on papers you have never seen.

Read the paper without leaving

When a club's paper is available, it opens inside Cogneez — a clean, full-screen reader built for your phone. No tab-hopping between a PDF somewhere and the appraisal here.

One paper a week. A step-by-step analysis of how you read it. That is how appraisal becomes instinct. Open the Evidence hub →
